Sydney Childrens Hospital School is a Kindergarten to Year 12 school for specific purposes, operating within Sydney Childrens Hospital Network and is a joint venture between NSW Health and the NSW Department of Education. The school enrolls inpatients, outpatients attached to treatment programs and siblings from government and non–government schools across Australia and internationally.
Education programs are delivered in hospital wards, at student bedsides and in three multistage classrooms with an emphasis on collaborative, connected learning and strengthening an educational focus in a young person's model of care, as they process through the stages of a chronic illness, injury or event.
The position will work in the high school team, with an emphasis on strengthening and supporting collegial planning and delivery of mathematics teaching and learning programs and student assessment schedules. The position will work within a student case management framework and have the responsibility to deliver educational programs across all curriculum areas.
