Claymation Student Workshop
Our most popular Workshop! Claymation Student workshop is designed to teach students how to use Claymation software to create their own stop motion animated video. Students will capture images using a webcam, create characters, apply small changes, add background images and music to create their own claymation movies.
After participating in this workshop students will be able to:
- Develop a storyline and script
- Use a storyboard to plan an animation
- Develop backdrops, use green screen and chroma key technologies
- Create characters from plasticine, stikfas or other materials
- Shoot and edit an animation using Claymation software.
At the conclusion of the workshop students will receive a CD with their final animation loaded onto it.

NewsMaker Student Workshop
In this workshop, students take on the role of news anchor and producer, creating their own story easily. The NewsMaker Student Workshop, designed to require minimal technology skills, facilitates a classroom environment in which students produce well-organised presentations that clearly and concisely convey concepts and information.
After participating in this workshop students will be able to:
- Create a storyline and script for a news report
- Develop their speaking and presentation skills
- Shoot and edit a news story using the software and iPads provided
- The Newsmaker Student Workshop is neither grade-level specific nor content-area specific. It will help students improve their communication skills whilst mastering content in any subject area.
At the conclusion of the workshop students will receive a CD with their final presentation loaded onto it.

2D Animator Workshop
The 2D Animator Workshop provides an exciting new approach to traditional 2D animation with innovative new tools that allow students to apply 3D motions to 2D characters. Students will learn to combine functional features like facial puppet and auto lip-sync to create a 2D animation. Students then have the software to use for 10 weeks in school time on those school computers that have the software installed.

Maker Bits Workshop
In the Maker Bits workshop we use lots of different arts and craft supplies combined with the power of littleBits – the easiest and most extensive way to learn and prototype with electronics. Students will invent by snapping together power modules, sensors, LED’s, motors and more!
