Stewart House School caters for up 1700 students from public schools across NSW and ACT. Each fortnight up to 90 students participate in health and educational programs and out of school activities to promote their learning and wellbeing, with 30% of the students being from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background. Stewart House School works in close partnership with principals from the students' home schools, Stewart House and its health providers. The Principal is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the school while having a strong understanding and commitment to the vision, mission, values and ethos of Stewart House. Children, whilst in residence at Stewart House, attend this public school for up to10 days of their 12 day stay. As a unique provision, the school is categorised as a School for Specific Purposes (SSP).
