St Helens Park Public School with an enrolment of 420 students, including 10% Indigenous students and 10% NESB students, is located on the outskirts of Campbelltown. The school caters for K-6 students and includes 3 Special Education classes for students with Emotional Disturbance and 16 mainstream classes.
The Special Education Unit at St Helens Park Public School supports students in years K-4 with challenging behaviours and/or complex mental health conditions. The unit provides intensive curriculum support as well as addressing the behavioural, social and emotional needs of the students. The unit’s goal is to deliver successful transition to mainstream settings, primary school education and community life.
St Helens Park Public School is supported by an active Parent and Citizens Association. Our Community Liaison Officer assists in developing strong links between the school and home, as well as within the broader school community. The school has well established extra curricula programs in student welfare, the creative and practical arts and sport. Current initiatives include Aboriginal education, Future-Focus Learning, STEM education and the use of Inquiry–based learning.
