Springdale Heights Public School has a current school enrolment of 164. This includes 8% of students from a Language Background Other than English and 15% Aboriginal students. We currently have a FOEI of 171.
As an Early Action for Success school, there is a focus on tiered interventions that focus on literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students in Kindergarten to Year 6. L3 is implemented across K-2 classes. The success of our literacy approach will be moved into a focus on numeracy in 2020. There is a strong emphasis on these pedagogical approaches across the school, with staff receiving regular professional learning, coaching and mentoring to improve teaching practice.
Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to promote the intellectual, physical, social, emotional and cultural development of our students to ensure every student is known, valued and cared for.
