Russell Lea Public School is located 6km from the Sydney CBD and one street away from the upper reaches of Sydney Harbour with a student enrolment of 310, the school rests on the traditional land of the Wangal Clan of the Eora Nation. The community is highly educated and has high expectations for student educational success. RLPS began transitioning from a K-2 Infants School in 2016 and is now a K-6 Primary School. The entire campus was rebuilt and commissioned in 2019 providing learning facilities for up to 600 students and the ideal platform for a rich and future focussed curriculum. RLPS has a strong reputation in the local community and beyond for quality education, especially K–2 Literacy and Numeracy. The majority of students achieve results in the top two bands for each aspect of NAPLAN and average results are well above the state average. All staff are committed to ongoing professional improvement and student growth.
