The Royal National Park Environmental Education Centre (RNPEEC) is a NSW Public School, one of 24 Environmental and Zoo Education Centres recognised as leaders in environmental and sustainability education. The school is located in the Royal National Park in the Sutherland Shire Sydney and sits on the land of the Dharawal speaking peoples. Excursions take place in a variety of natural and cultural locations including woodland, rainforest, coastal, mangroves and heathland within the Royal National Park and surrounding areas.
The school aims to foster in students an appreciation of the environment, strengthen their connection with it, and develop a sense of responsibility for its future through authentic, curriculum-based fieldwork experiences.
RNPEEC maintains strong partnerships with schools, the Environmental and Zoo Education (EZEC) network and Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG).
