Ripple Kindness Project is different because it doesn't focus on the negativity and consequences of bullying behaviour like many traditional anti-bullying programs do.
We understand that children who bully are in need of support, and no amount of punishment or shaming will change their behaviour. Instead, they need to be taught how to be a kind and considerate friend.
Our curriculum has been designed to offer students (and teachers) opportunities to experience the feel good emotions that are produced when being a good friend. The serotonin that is released whilst being kind is highly addictive, leaving givers and receivers with a longing for more, and giving vulnerable children a different view of life.
Lessons and activities are flexible and easy to follow. They target the classroom, home and community to take kindness outside of the school gate to broaden the impact of the program.
Time consuming professional development is unnecessary as each module is self paced and supported by additional activities.
