Richmond North Public School is located in the semi-rural, north western fringe of Sydney and caters for 250 students drawn from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. A new housing estate situated close by has resulted in a steady growth of student numbers.
The school nurtures positive educational experiences in highly engaging learning environments. We take pride in our outstanding teachers, support personnel and administrative staff who work closely with parents and the wider community to offer the best education to our students.
Our students demonstrate and build skills and values through public speaking, debating, performance and sporting groups and through innovative programs such as our School Media project, Kitchen Garden project and our Space Camp USA initiative. Student wellbeing initiatives form a strong foundation at Richmond North and we have recently introduced Restorative Practices across our school. Our school priorities include maximising learning outcomes for all students; developing innovative classroom practice that integrates technology and promotes future focussed skills; promoting student wellbeing; facilitating leadership; and providing quality extra-curricular programs across the school, with all students striving to achieve. Our learning support programs offer high quality assistance to students through the delivery of Reading Recovery, MiniLit, MultiLit and QuickSmart and we have just commenced the implementation of TEN K-2. Our school has an active and supportive P&C and parents are actively involved in our school programs, offering vital support within our classrooms.
