The Museum tells the story of Australia’s banknotes against the background of the nation’s economic and social development, from colonial settlement through to the current era. The Museum offers talks to groups, including school groups, on the Reserve Bank and its main functions, the framework for monetary policy and Australian banknotes, including how they are produced and their security features.
