Rand Public School is a small rural school located approximately 68 kilometres from Albury, NSW and 116 kilometres from Wagga Wagga, NSW. It has strong connections with the local families and community. Enrolments are currently 28, with 3 aboriginal students and are drawn from both Rand and the surrounding rural areas. The school is currently organised as two multi stage classes and uses evaluation of data to inform practices, summative and formative assessment, enriching learning through the implementation of Innovative Learning Environments for students.
Specialist programs include use of formative assessment and reflective practice to guide teaching and learning, strengthening teacher capacity by working collaboratively with a network to provide consistency and continuity. Rand Public School is part of the active Walbundrie Small Schools Learning Community.
