Quirindi Public School is a rural school situated on the Liverpool Plains in North West NSW. The school currently has an enrolment of 291 students with 26% identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Our school has 13 mainstream classes and one Multi-Categorical class.

At Quirindi Public School we lead, in partnership with the community, a culture of high expectations for student learning and excellence in teaching. The school leadership team work together across the school to build teacher capacity and maximise student outcomes. Teaching staff at Quirindi Public School are actively engaged in collaborative planning and the delivery of quality English units with the textual concepts deeply embedded.

Equity funding is utilised to drive the 'Take Off' initiative which focuses on data analysis and quality intervention to improve student learning outcomes in line with the Premier’s priority to increase the percentage of students in the top two bands.

Students, staff and the school community have unified expectations about student behaviour and wellbeing. The school values are Cooperation, Achievement, Respect, Encouragement and Safety. These are explicitly taught through Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).

Quirindi Public School is proud of the strong community partnerships with our School Council, Parents and Citizens Association and the wider Aboriginal community.
