Quirindi High School is a rural school of 400 students with 28% of students identifying as Aboriginal. The school aims to provide individual educational excellence in a country atmosphere. The school is well resourced, air-conditioned and has outstanding agricultural, technology and art facilities. The small size of the school allows students to have individual attention, however, there is a wide range of subject choices.
At Quirindi High School there is a focus on bespoke learning pathways and strong community links. As a school, learning is focused on creating students who know where their learning is at and what they need to do next to progress. Students develop clear goals or thoughts on career pathways as well as what is needed to do to achieve these goals. Teachers know their students, where their students’ learning is at and what the individual student needs to do next to progress.
