Pormpuraaw State School

The school caters for children from pre-prep to Year 6. The school is structured in a multi-age model where students from different age groups are grouped together. The staff at Pormpuraaw State School represent a mix of varying teaching and life experiences. This includes first year teachers to experienced staff members including locally raised staff. Over 50% of our staff are Indigenous which is vital in providing strong role models for our students. All staff are fully committed to the students and regularly go beyond expectations to provide the best possible educational opportunities.
