The Department of Education serves the NSW community by providing world-class education from early childhood through to adulthood.
School counsellors work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with school and Departmental staff to enhance student learning and wellbeing. They provide psychological counselling services to students in allocated public schools from Preschool to Year 12. We are seeking two part-time school counsellors in Dubbo and Wagga Wagga to work in the NSW Centre for Effective Reading a joint education and health facility. These positions complement a team of specialist staff at Palm Avenue School who provide assessment and intervention services to primary school aged students with complex reading difficulties and their teachers in rural and remote areas of NSW. These positions can operate out of Westmead primarily by Telehealth.
