St Patrick’s Primary School, Macksville has a rich history of providing Catholic Education for generations of families in the Nambucca Valley. Our school is an integral part of the Nambucca Valley Catholic Parish and is part of the Diocese of Lismore. The school opened its new campus at 32 Macksville Heights Drive early in 2016 with all new facilities.
St Patrick’s is a Christ-centred community with a dedicated and supportive staff. Students learn in flexible learning spaces that cater for differing learning styles and increased ownership of children across a stage. Within these learning environments student engagement is increased through structured routines and daily schedules, increased catering to individual learning needs of each child, broadening of the children’s social circle and building resilience and tolerance. Our school has a state of the art technology program for students including robotics, Spheros, mini drones, interactive whiteboards, interactive touch screens and video conferencing. iPads are used across the school as part of our one-to-one device program. Children in Stage 2 & 3 bring their own iPad as part of our Bring Your Own Device program. The school supplies each child in Kinder and Stage 1 with an iPad to use. The school has an extensive wireless network to ensure fast download speeds.
In working collaboratively, educators and students are able to create personalised learning goals target the learning to each child’s needs, allow for greater child-centred learning and provide intervention and enrichment experiences.
