Teaching your students to think on their feet is one of the greatest challenges of being a teacher. Throw a pair of skates into the mix and you’ll have your students sliding and gliding towards a very memorable learning experience, plenty of laughs and some great stories to tell.
From free skating to ice hockey and team-oriented games, we have a wide array of activities available to suit all ages and skill-levels. We will also work with you to tailor a package specific to your groups needs, including one-off recreational sessions and multi-session sport-specific programs.
O'Brien Group Arena also offers curriculum resources that directly align with VCAA. Get your students out of the classroom and onto the ice rink with our Health and Physical Education program, taught by our experienced coaches! We also offer resources, free of charge, in Maths and Science.

This is the third year we have brought or students ice skating as part of their Melbourne experience. They always list it as the highlight of their week. The lesson is great and your staff are brilliant at picking out the students who need a little extra assistance. We will be back again next year for sure.

The ice hockey activity is fantastic. The students get to immerse themselves in a game and learn as they play. The staff
who assist with the ice hockey are great and ensure all students are involved in the game. Having the opportunity to
use the whole rink for an hour and a half is awesome. The students loved the program so much, they are begging me
to bring them back again next year.

These Dili (Timor Leste) students had never been ice skating before... We were so pleased with the attention we got from the staff - everybody from ticket sales to rink staff were courteous and helpful. In particular Rink Ambassador Jesse was fantastic - he gave the students a patient lesson (and even wore hire skates to prove they are good skates!) and looked out for them during their general skating.
