Norfolk Island Central School is located on Norfolk Island, approximately 1400 km east of Byron Bay in the South Pacific Ocean. Norfolk Island Central School operates within the policies, systems and structures of the NSW Department of Education to deliver high quality educational services for students in Kindergarten through to Year 12 (282 students).
Our school motto is "Play the Gameâ. As the only school on Norfolk Island we take great pride and responsibility in delivering quality educational and wellbeing outcomes for our students. Our school works in close partnership with our community to provide a broadâranging curriculum encompassing educational, sporting and cultural experiences. Our parents know the importance of education and provide a wonderful level of support for the school.
The
uniqueness of the Norfolk Island community, with its Polynesian and Bounty
history, is reflected throughout the school.
Traditions are honoured and we promote the maintenance of Norfolk Island
culture for future generations, including the teaching of Norf'k Language and
Culture Kâ7. While we
live and play in an idyllic location, as a collective team, staff work with
significant levels of dedication and commitment to serve our students and
community to deliver high-quality education.
