Nords Wharf Public School is a small school located on the shores of Lake Macquarie in the heart of the Nords Wharf community. There is a strong sense of belonging and connection, with an active and supportive parent community and P&C who work collaboratively with staff and students to achieve school goals. The school has a current enrolment of 169 students, including 12 students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. Nords Wharf Public School is a proud member of the Galgabba Community of Schools and Minimbah AECG.
There is a strong focus on the wellbeing of all members of the school community, supported by Be You and mindfulness programs. A learning culture of striving for personal best, high expectations and building a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy supports the individual learning growth of all students. Students are offered a large range of leadership and extracurricular opportunities in the arts, sport and STEM, to further enhance learning and engagement.
