Mount Hutton Public School is part of the Glenrock Network and is on the land of the Awabakal People. Mount Hutton Public School is part of the Waiyarang Community of Schools. The school is K-6 and has a current enrolment of 159 students with 22% identifying as Aboriginal. Our students come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and in 2020 it is anticipated the school will have six mainstream classes. The school has an existing MC class, and 2020 will see the establishment of an ED and a BD class.
The school has established a strong sense of community where parent and community partnerships are highly valued. Our focus as a school is to encourage students to be self-motivated through the provision of opportunities to learn and develop independently and collaboratively in a range of educational, social, cultural and sporting endeavours.
The school is part of the Early Action for Success initiative and has a strong focus on teacher professional learning and effective community partnerships to improve educational outcomes for all students.
