Monaro High School is a comprehensive rural high school located in Cooma and proudly serving the communities of the Monaro district. The school offers a
quality academic, vocational and student wellbeing curriculum to accommodate
all students and believes that students have the right to a personalised education where all pathways of learning are equally valued.
Monaro High School promotes respect, optimism, acceptance and responsibility within a caring and positive learning environment. Our 485 students from Year 7 -12 come from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds providing an inclusive and diverse school community. Key strategic directions for 2018-2020 are Excellence in Learning, Teaching and Leading.
Monaro High School is a dynamic school community that is committed to its continuous improvement and achieves excellence through an extensive range of academic, sporting, cultural and community programs including annual support of Cooma's strong sister city relationship with Yamaga. The school prides itself on providing a broad range of creative, performing arts and sporting programs to cater for the diverse needs of students.

Monaro High School is undertaking a major facilities upgrade to provide students with contemporary learning spaces, a focus on futures based learning and a specialised performing arts facility.
