Mimosa Public School has an enrolment of 536 students and is a proud member of the Warringah Community of Schools. It is a dynamic place where students, staff and parents work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for all.
The dedicated staff of Mimosa PS work collaboratively to develop their collective understanding of current research and educational practices. Professional learning for staff is grounded in continuous improvement of quality teaching practices and developing consistency and focus across the whole school. The staff has worked hard to develop their understanding of best practice in assessing student achievement and understanding of where students are at with their learning and where they are heading to next. As part of their learning, teachers have engaged with Quality Teaching Rounds, Visible Learning, Focus on Reading and using data walls to inform teaching and learning plans.
Mimosa PS has a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and its Positive Behaviour for Learning program, which supports the values of respect, resilience, responsibility and effort. The school has an actively engaged P&C and enjoys a close partnership with its parent community.
