Maryland Public School (est. 1992), provides excellent educational programs for students in the vibrant Maryland community. The school enjoys close links with Callaghan College Wallsend Campus (CCWC) and the wider Callaghan Educational Pathways (CEP) community of schools.
Maryland has an enrolment of 406 students with 12% of the student population from language backgrounds other than English and 41 students who identify as Aboriginal. MPS has an Opportunity Class for gifted and talented students as well as three Special Education classes (Autism, IO / IS and MC).
