Lake Illawarra High School is a comprehensive coeducational school of 560 students, 105 of whom identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Lake Illawarra High is located 25kms south of Wollongong on the shores of Lake Illawarra.
The school has a strong wellbeing focus and is a Positive Behaviour for Learning school with excellent student wellbeing programs including the CLONTARF program. The school also has a focus on Quality Teaching and was recently invited to be part of the Illawarra Academy of STEM Excellence.
Lake Illawarra High has six support classes and is part of the ASPIRE program. The school has an extremely strong relationship with our Community of Schools and an excellent transition program.
