Lake Cargelligo Central School is a rural and remote school in the Riverina Region, South Western NSW. It has a current enrolment of 223 students, from Kindergarten to Year 12, including 88 Aboriginal students and 4% of students from a non-English speaking background. The focus and strength of the school is the ability to provide tailored and personalised learning opportunities for every child with caring, dedicated staff, most of whom are in their early career.
The school is part of the Early Action for Success initiative with data to support a notable increase in student progress. It is a partner school in the Lachlan Access Program where Stage 5 Mathematics and Stage 6 courses are delivered via video conferencing to students on four sites.
