Kirkton Public School, sits on the lands of the Wonnarua People and serves the community of Lower Belford is easily accessible from Singleton, Branxton and Maitland. There are strong community links with mining and agricultural industries. The community is invested in the success of the school and has high expectations for student achievement in all areas of their education. There is an active and involved Parents and Citizens Association and strong links with the Kunarr Ngarrama AECG.
Kirkton Public School established in 1882 is part of both the Singleton Learning Community and the Maitland Principal Network. Current enrolment is 34 with two multi-stage classes that support the learning of students from Kindergarten to Year Six. 8.3% of our students identify, recognise, share and celebrate their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. The Family, Occupation and Education Index is currently 129.
