Kincumber Public School enrolment 415 students, is located on the traditional land of the Darkinjung and is an active member of the local Tjudibaring Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and the Kincumba Learning Community. The school has a strong reputation for its inclusive culture with around 10% of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. There are sixteen mainstream classes and three support classes serving students with a range of disabilities, predominantly autism.

With equity a priority, the school expertly implements a strong social and emotional curriculum including Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and You Can Do It. The school values of being ‘a safe, respectful learner’ are embedded in its inclusive programs, practices and relationships. Across the school, Words Their Way is used to teach spelling and the online curriculum resource MAPPEN to deliver whole school integrated curriculum units. L3 is embedded into literacy pedagogy in K - 4 classrooms. Teaching staff work effectively in collaborative teams with instructional leaders in learning and engagement supporting planning and professional learning and the school culture is one of high expectations. The school is strongly supported by the community who value the extracurricular activities the school offers, including sports and performing arts.
