Kempsey High School is seeking a compassionate and innovative teacher who can work with a team of school staff and community professionals to address the learning needs of students with disabilities. Kempsey High School is built on the lands of the Dunghutti people and has an enrolment of 461 students including 37% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. It is a comprehensive high school (7-12), engaged in several initiatives to support students from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and for students from low socio-economic status communities. In 2021, the Special Education faculty will comprises of four special education classes (IM, ED and 2 x MC) and three classes (Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9-10) based on a home room across curriculum teaching model. The school prides itself on enabling an inclusive environment, striving to ensure all students have equity of access to a high-quality education in a diverse school community.
