Junee Public School has been serving the community of Junee and outlying rural areas for over 130 years. Junee is a small rural township 40 kilometres north of Wagga Wagga. Enrolments at the school are currently at 109 students with 23% of students of Indigenous background. The school serves as a hub for community groups and organisations supporting our students and their families.

We enjoy strong partnerships with our school and local communities. The school is a proud member of the Ngumba-Dal (meaning 'unity') Learning Community, consisting of 4 local primary schools and Junee High School.

Quality educational programs provide for enrichment, encouraging success in academic endeavour, sport and the arts. The school has implemented evidence-based change resulting in measurable improvements in wellbeing and engagement to support learning. The continued implementation of Positive Behaviour for Learning is underpinned by the core values of Respect, Responsibility and Success. A deep understanding of "What Works Best" provides an innovative and engaging environment in which we are preparing students to become effective learners for the future. With Literacy and Numeracy forming the basis of our learning, Early Action for Success is led by our Instructional Leader and focuses on improving student outcomes through targeted professional learning and coaching opportunities for all teaching staff.

We recognise that every student has their own strengths and passions and will excel at their own pace. Our school programs and processes pinpoint, address and monitor individual student learning needs leading to targeted and individualised teaching.
