Jewells Primary School is situated in a tranquil bush setting between Lake Macquarie and the Pacific Ocean in Jewells. The school services a diverse and dynamic socioeconomic community. Jewells Primary School has an enrolment of 335 students and has in operation 13 classes from Kinder to Year 6. One of these is a Regional Opportunity Class (OC) for Years 5 and 6, with students from over 20 schools applying to be part of that class each year. Jewells Primary School offers a number of extra curricular initiatives across sports, arts and cultural fields. The school has 9% ATSI students and a solid connection with the local community, Parents and Citizens (P&C) association and Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG). To support strong outcome improvement, we are focused on ensuring mastery of foundational skills in literacy and numeracy in a culturally inclusive and supportive environment.
