The Vision Teaching substitute teaching contract, also known as our Guaranteed Payment Scheme (GPS), is very popular with recent graduates, as it allows a ‘grace’ period for when you first arrive in the UK. Substitute teaching is a great way to 'get to know' the London schools and eases yourself into the UK Curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready for a challenge and are keen to travel, socially interact with new people and explore London! Not to forget all with a stable contract that allows you flexibility. We also offer the GPS: LT Contract for those who want to get into a full time position managing your own classroom straight away.
Key role and responsibilities for this contract are;
• Guaranteed full time salary each week whether you work or not.
• 5 days per week substitute teaching across the year groups, from early years to upper primary.
• Work in a cluster of London primary schools in one local area.
• Covering lessons already planned by the regular class teacher.
• No requirement for you to plan or assess lessons but to mark the work only.
• Engaging with the students, enabling learning in a fun environment.
• General Behaviour Management, to ensure every child is learning.
• Obtain additional UK recognised qualification-QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) automatically.
• Immediate progression from Substitute teaching to Full time teaching when you are ready.
