Griffith Public School is located in the regional centre of Griffith in the Riverina. It has a current enrolment of 349 students, comprising of 18 classes. Of these students, 30% identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and 43 % are EAL/D learners. The school caters for students from a diverse socio-economic background.

The school caters for a diverse student population and places a strong focus on academic success, personalised learning, student aspiration and the provision of opportunity by providing a wide range of educational experiences for all students. A strong emphasis is placed on literacy and numeracy, with a particular focus on visual numeracy, vocabulary and reading.

Family engagement is a current focus and the school is committed to strengthening its connections with community. The school community has embraced the values of 'Respect, Responsibility and Do Your Best' and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) has created consistency and positive outcomes for all children, further enhancing a positive environment for learning.

The staff are committed to working collaboratively, with trust and transparency, to support the achievement of the 2021-2024 School Improvement Plan vision, purpose and strategic directions.
