The Senior Psychologist Education coordinates and professionally supervises a team of school counsellors/school psychologists to deliver high quality psychological services to schools. They work closely with schools, other members of educational services teams and agencies to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
The Senior Psychologist Education provides professional leadership in the delivery of psychological services to school communities and has a key leadership role as part of the networked specialist centres.
Granville Public School is complex and dynamic in its make-up and is recognised as the hub of its community. The school student population of 620 is comprised of students from forty different cultural backgrounds. 94% of students are from a language background other than English. The school currently has 21 mainstream classes, 7 special education support classes and a preschool; with innovative transition programs with in the three settings.
Granville Public School has been a finalist , for the past 2 years, in the Australian Educator Government Primary School of the Year awards, and has been classified as an Innovative Primary School in Australia.
The school is also a part of the Community Hubs Australia Program, with a designated space for parent and community programs. This program has memos of understandings with TAFE NSW, St George and Sutherland College for Learning, and Western Sydney, Macquarie and the Australian Catholic Universities supporting courses offered.
