Goulburn West ( enrolment 422; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; 21) enjoys strong community support serving families residing to the west of the Goulburn CBD. Enrolments have grown steadily in recent years and the school has an excellent reputation in the local community.  Excellent programs in English, Mathematics, Sport, Creative and Performing Arts and Student Wellbeing assist each student to develop the skills they will need for an increasingly complex and dynamic world. An Opportunity Class underpins a school wide focus for gifted and talented students through compacting and telescoping the curriculum, a research focus for STEM and a school wide approach for a differentiated curriculum. The school vision supports quality teaching and positive behaviour to provide a strong foundation for each student to reach their full potential. The Positive Behaviour for Learning program is the foundation of all classrooms and playground spaces. To enhance student engagement and growth, a dedicated Learning Centre has been created to meet emerging student needs supported by individual learning plans. Teachers work collaboratively to support students to think ahead, take ownership of their learning and recognise the needs of others.
