Glenroi Heights Public School is situated in the city of Orange, NSW. The school Family Occupation Educational Index is 189 and the school is very strategic in its use of school funding to support the needs of families and community. The school staff strive to provide a dynamic, focused curriculum to meet the needs of every student. The school population is currently 251 however fluctuates annually between 230 and 255 students. 52% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

 

There are nine mainstream classes and seven classes that support students with additional learning needs. The students work in an integrated setting and the core business is the explicit, systematic, quality teaching of Literacy and Numeracy. School staff engage with all government agencies in a strength based approach to support students and families. The school includes the services of a Schools as Community Centre facilitator, a Live Better Pre–school and a strong transition to school program.
