Glenfield Public School was established in 1882 and serves a school community of 427 students from 43 different nationalities. Many generations of families have attended the school over its lifetime. The school is held in high regard within the community. Since 2010 the student enrolment has increased from 10 to 17 classes.
A mix of experienced and early career teachers work collaboratively to provide quality teaching and learning catering for the diverse needs of students. There is a strong focus on literacy and numeracy within the school. Staff are committed to ongoing professional learning and continuously reflect on their practice. The school holds high expectations of both students and staff. The Positive Behaviour for Learning program is used to support classroom management and wellbeing across the school.
