Glendenning Public School caters for 618 students in 2019. Students are organised into 24 classes that cater for student needs and provide maximisation of the input of support staff. The school’s student population has a rich sociocultural background with representation of families from the Indian sub-continent, Arabic countries and south-east Asia being significant. The school’s FOEI is 85 and the school’s NESB student population is approximately 58%. Current school initiatives include incorporation of innovative learning environments, instructional leadership in the writing process, development of mathematics and innovative programming. The development of authentic partnerships with community members and refinement of student empowerment and leadership strategies which will enhance the school’s public speaking, debating, dance and choir and sports are ongoing programs.
