Glen Innes High is a comprehensive coeducational school 7-12 with 500 (120 FOEI)  students and 15% ATSI identified. Teaching staff are committed to a culture of excellence with high expectations of themselves and students from a diverse range of backgrounds. Glen Innes High School  is highly regarded in the wider community for its academic excellence and the diverse opportunities provided to the students through a range of sporting, cultural, social, creative and performing arts experiences.  The school has a strong emphasis on wellbeing programs in a dynamic learning environment and has strong links with the community and other government and non-government agencies.
