Gillwinga Public School

Gillwinga Public School has an enrolment of approximately 142 students in 7 mainstream classes with 55% being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background. Gillwinga PS is an Early Action for Success school with an emphasis on strong foundation skills in  literacy and numeracy and evidence teaching based strategies. The school is well resourced and is structured to offer smaller learning groups to all its students, catering for learning support and enrichment. Gillwinga PS is focused on building strong positive relationships with students and the community. Staff are passionate dedicated and caring using research based wellbeing practices to cater for the complex needs of our students and creating a positive school culture.
