Fiona Trembath (BA Hons, MAPP candidate 2014) is the founder of From Strength to Strength Australia, a wellbeing and positive education organisation. She is also author of the junior fiction novel, Crackpot, and has been writing, editing, teaching and training in the corporate and education sectors for more than 20 years.
Based on the science of positive psychology, Fiona teaches the principles of strength-based education to schools, parent groups and individuals. She is passionate about looking for ‘what's right?' as a first default, rather than ‘what's wrong?' as a way toward optimal health and wellbeing.
Fiona has developed a comprehensive range of resources for teachers to implement positive psychology's Character Strengths framework in the classroom. Her most recent innovation, a multi-media, eight-lesson program on strengths-based education was launched at the 2013 Positive Schools Conference in Melbourne.
In partnership with the internationally acclaimed Mayerson Academy, From Strength to Strength is driving the introduction of The Thriving Learning Communties™ family of products into Australia. The programs offer a research-based approach to knowing and cultivating individual character strengths, motivating teachers and students of all ages to be their best selves and accelerate growth and learning every day.
Fiona’s vision is to make Positive Education easily understood, implemented and accessible to all schools, and to underpin all aspects of school curricula.
