Fowler Road School is a School for Specific Purposes (SSP), catering for 56 students with emotional disorders from kindergarten to Year 12 who exhibit behaviours characteristic of mental health concerns. We value and implement a protective behaviours and trauma informed approach, with all students accessing an inclusive and individualised educational program. Our dedicated staff embraces a collaborative case management approach, to ensure success across environments. The K–6 program accepts students on a shared enrolment basis and is intended as a short-term intervention, aiming to return students to their mainstream school. The 7–12 program aims to re–engage students in schooling and to work towards achieving their RoSA in Year 10, their HSC in Year 12 and to access vocational learning. This is often supported by Sydney Distance Education High School.
