Forestville Public School has an enrolment of 683 students, with 24% from a non-English speaking background. The school has a strong culture of collaboration with our community, and amongst staff and students, building effective relationships with a focus on open communication. There is a clear vision for delivering future focused learning with a growth mindset, and ensuring learning environments where children are inspired, engaged and challenged. The school has an emphasis on developing high quality teaching and learning that integrates technology and is delivered through explicit teaching practices and inquiry projects developing a range of thinking skills. Along with literacy and numeracy, the school has a current emphasis on wellbeing, science and technology, PDHPE and programming. Creative and Performing Arts are a priority, with strong community involvement in driving the programs and performances.
