Forest Lodge Public School was established in 1883 and is located in the Sydney City Central & Eastern Suburbs region. The school has an enrolment of 363 students, with 44% from a Non-English Speaking Background. Academic excellence is developed within a supportive environment for students, staff and parents. Each child is encouraged to pursue their interests and explore a variety of ways of learning in a nurturing and inclusive climate. The school enjoys a continuing reputation for producing high academic results, excellence in literacy and numeracy, visual and performing arts and strong and caring support for students’ welfare needs. There is a strong focus on extra-curricular programs including public speaking and debating, band, choir, languages, drama and robotics.
