Fairfield Public
School is situated in South-West Sydney in the heart of the Fairfield
CBD. The current enrolment is 578 students from K-6, including 95% from a
non-English speaking background with over one
third of the school from refugee backgrounds. The school has a
committed, collaborative and enthusiastic staff, with a mixture of
experienced and early career teachers.
The school plan and priorities focus on embedding a teaching, learning and leadership environment that focuses on the STARS model. Safety, Trust, Attachment Responsibility and Skills development are a vital part of all school programs. Quality language and literacy practice, including first language maintenance is embedded across the school.

Recent initiatives in the school include Bounce
Back (Social and Emotional Learning) Positive Behaviour for Learning

Instructional Rounds.

these areas and is committed to lifting the educational outcomes for all
