Eglinton Public School with an enrolment of 480 students, including 5% Indigenous students and 2% non-English speaking background students, has played a significant role within the Eglinton community for 150
years. The school caters for K-6 students and includes 3 Special Education classes (AU/IO) and 19 mainstream classes. Our school has an emphasis on delivering excellent teaching and learning programs supported by quality
professional development. The school plan promotes a strong and innovative academic focus on literacy and numeracy developed by a highly experienced and motivated staff to engage, support and extend students providing them with skills, confidence and values for continued success today and into the future.
Current initiatives include Aboriginal education; Bump it up; Positive behaviour for learning and Live life well.
The school has well established extra curricula programs including debating, public speaking, dance, choral, recorder, and concert band groups and sport. The school supported by an active Parent and Citizens Committee develops and values partnerships with parents and the wider community through a variety of special events and
classroom programs.
