East Hills Public School is a diverse and vibrant learning community located in a leafy pocket of South Western Sydney. There are 185 students enrolled at East Hills Public School with 68% from a non–English speaking background (NESB) and 5.8% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent (ATSI). Our families come from a diverse range of socio–economic backgrounds and our cultural demographic is key in driving a dynamic, stimulating and an inclusive learning environment. Currently there are eight mainstream classes and three support classes catering for students with a primary diagnosis of Autism.
East Hills Public School is staffed by enthusiastic and dedicated teachers with a wide range of professional experiences. Our staff work collaboratively to ensure that evidence-based, best practice is at our core. There is a strong culture of high expectations for growth and achievement embedding the principles of Visible Learning research to develop self-regulated learners. The school is committed to quality teaching and learning across all key learning areas, providing programs tailored to individual learning needs. Student learning is enriched by various programs and lead by all teachers across the school.
Wellbeing for all students, staff and community members is a major priority area. The school's positive student wellbeing programs are designed to equip students with the skills to succeed in a changing world. Our healthy eating initiative “East Hills Eats”, was created for students to enjoy fresh, healthy meals, ensuring all students are well nourished and ready for learning.
With strong connections to the local community, the school is part of the East Hills Community of Schools which promotes professional networks with both East Hills Girls Technology High School and East Hills Boys High School.
East Hills Public School is a welcoming and nurturing community that values the development of philanthropic global citizens.
