Drummond Memorial Public School is located in West Armidale, with 187 students enrolled, including 34% Aboriginal and 21% of students (ESL) from twelve different countries. The school has a mix of low socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. DMPS has a strong family focus and aims to provide the opportunity for every student to achieve success in all aspects of their life. The school community fosters the belief that students learn best when they are recognised and valued as individuals who can succeed. The school services a community from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. Staff work cooperatively and collaboratively to design curriculum that responds to the demands of 21st Century learners. The staff are committed to the provision of outstanding educational programs aimed at ensuring quality education is provided in a caring and supportive environment.  The school is part of the Early Action for Success (EAfS) initiative with an Instructional Leader delivering professional learning and providing support with data analysis in literacy and numeracy.
