Situated on 2.5 hectares of landscaped gardens, 'CYC The Island' is nestled in the heart of Cowes, within strolling distance of safe sandy beaches, the picturesque coastal township and a short drive to Phillip Island’s world-renowned tourist attractions. Relax and explore the facility itself or browse among the many foreshore shops and cafes, while soaking up the sun, surf and sand.
As an all-season Conference and Retreat Centre, CYC The Island caters for 200+ guests in two separate accommodation areas, each offering centrally heated ensuited rooms and separate air-conditioning dining, function, meeting and indoor recreation areas, removing the need to share, and ensuring the privacy and comfort of all guests.
While quality catering by experienced chefs is a feature of this facility, smaller groups may be offered the use of the well-equipped modern kitchen and dining room as a self-catering option.
The Island’s qualified and experienced staff can assist in facilitating the on-site activities as well as outings to the various world-renowned natural and tourist attractions, including the Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Centre, The Nobbies coastal environment and historical homesteads.
Onsite activities include a low-ropes course, giant swing, indoor climbing wall, solar-heated 18-metre swimming pool, a flying fox and archery, while sports such as basketball, volleyball & tennis can be enjoyed outdoors or inside the CYC’s full-sized indoor sports complex. Two ovals also cater for team sports like Australian Rules and cricket. More passive activities such as pool or table tennis can be enjoyed at any time in the main function room.
