Coonabarabran
High School is a comprehensive high school in a rural community with an
enrolment of 385 students, 22% ATSI. The school enjoys a long and proud
tradition of excellent student outcomes in academic, sporting and cultural
fields of endeavour. The school provides students with diverse educational
opportunities; both curricular and co-curricular. The students are positively
encouraged and guided to extend themselves in a variety of fields, embracing
the school motto 'Forever Dare'. Coonabarabran High School is a respected and
integral part of the local community. The school receives valuable input from
all sectors of the local community especially from parents, the Aboriginal
community, business and the services as well as from local government. Such
community support is a major feature of the school and further enhances the
school's capacity to provide quality education to its students. Additionally,
the school is characterised by its strong focus on quality teaching and as such
has a strong emphasis on the professional development of
staff to support the continual improvement of student learning outcomes. The school's
