Coleambally Central School is a vibrant K-12 rural school with approximately 200 students located in the Coleambally Irrigation District of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA), approximately 66 kilometres south of Griffith. The school site is situated adjacent to the Coleambally business district and includes extensive, well-maintained grounds, which complement modern buildings. There is strong community support available to the school, which strives to position itself within the community as a vital and viable community asset and a strong contributor to community values and ethos. The school is supported by a number of community groups. The School Executive Team is comprised of the Principal, Deputy Principal, 4 Head Teachers and 2 Assistant Principals, with a whole school staff of approximately 37, including administrative staff. The school executive team is working closely with the school community to develop priorities in improving student literacy and numeracy outcomes, ensuring that quality teaching underpins practice in all classrooms, developing and implementing a future focused curriculum, providing greater student pathway options, developing positive student wellbeing programs and enhancing parent and community participation in the school.
